Kay C. Holmen is a senior auditor at KPC Legal Audit Services Inc. Since 1991, she has audited and supervised auditors at KPC Legal Audit Services Inc. in thousands of matters involving many millions of dollars of legal billings in a wide range of practice areas.  Her work is varied and includes complex multiparty audits, audits involving environmental litigation, intellectual property matters, an ongoing audit of billing to date in excess of $400 million, and audits for governmental agencies and municipalities.  She has also audited nonlegal and expert billings in a variety of practice areas. 

Ms. Holmen has provided testimony in fee dispute hearings regarding the reasonableness of attorney billings.  She has lectured and has provided consultation on the subject to law firms and other clients.

Ms. Holmen graduated from the UCLA Attorney Assistant Training Program and received her certificate in corporations/litigation. She received her bachelor of arts degree cum laude in political science from California State University, Northridge.  She is past president of the UCLA-AAAA and the Los Angeles Paralegal Association.
