CYNTHIA A. TRANGSRUD, President Ms. Trangsrud was born in Minnesota in 1954. She attended Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in urban studies and graduated magna cum laude in 1977. She studied law at the University of Minnesota and received her juris doctor degree in 1980. Ms. Trangsrud was admitted to the California State Bar in 1982. She has been admitted to the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Central Districts of the United States District Court, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Trangsrud is the president of Knapp, Petersen & Clarke. She practices in the firm’s Insurance Coverage Group. This group specializes in litigation coverage issues and preparation of insurance coverage opinions. Her specialty is insurance coverage analysis and litigation, as well as declaratory relief and bad faith litigation. She is experienced in analyzing various types of insurance coverages, with particular expertise in the area of personal lines coverage. Ms. Trangsrud is active in the community. She serves on the board of directors for the Glendale Education Foundation. She is past president of the Glendale Foundation for the Retarded and continues to serve on the board of the Foundation. Ms. Trangsrud is an elder and member of the Finance Committee at Westwood Presbyterian Church. She is a trustee emerita of the Hamline University Board of Trustees.
